About the Bosch Performance Line SX
The Performance Line SX is Bosch's lightweight motor for light e-MTBs, gravel and urban bikes, weighing about 2.0 kg. It runs on the Bosch smart system and was introduced for model year 2024.
It delivers 600 W peak, but the output rises with cadence: Bosch quotes 400 W at 70 rpm, so the motor rewards fast pedalling. A July 2025 software update raised torque from 55 to 60 Nm and maximum support from 340% to 400%.
It is usually paired with the CompactTube 400 or 600 battery, with the PowerMore 250 range extender available. Remotes and displays include the System Controller with Mini Remote and the Purion or Kiox units, all managed via the eBike Flow app.
The SX suits riders who want a lighter, more natural-feeling bike with moderate assistance and who pedal at higher cadences. It sits between ultra-light systems such as TQ and full-power motors like the CX.
