About the Bosch Performance Line PX

The Performance Line PX is a new Bosch smart-system motor for model year 2026, aimed at demanding trekking, SUV and bike-packing e-bikes rather than performance e-MTBs. Bosch emphasises quiet operation and a harmonious response.

It delivers up to 90 Nm and 700 W, with factory settings of 85 Nm and 600 W that can be raised in the eBike Flow app. The free Performance Upgrade 2.0 in 2026 increased maximum support to 600% up to 15 km/h.

Unlike the CX and SX, the PX supports coaster brakes and works with eShift automatic shifting (Shimano, TRP, Enviolo) and Bosch eBike ABS. Bosch says the gearbox decouples above 25 km/h to reduce drag, and the housing contains about 40% recycled aluminium.

The PX suits riders of loaded touring bikes and SUV-style e-bikes that see gravel and forest roads. Riders seeking a dedicated e-MTB drive are better served by the CX or CX-R.
