Overview

TRP's World Cup-proven four-piston DH-R EVO for downhill, enduro and eMTB, with 9 mm lever piston and 2.3 mm rotors, 310 g front; US$274.99–296.99 per brake.

The DH-R EVO is the original TRP brake designed around 2.3 mm rotors and is pitched by TRP at downhill, enduro and eMTB riding. It pairs a four-piston caliper with an optimised hydraulic leverage ratio and all-metal construction for consistent, controlled power on steep terrain, and has multiple World Cup downhill wins to its name.

A 9 mm lever piston raises the hydraulic ratio for one-finger braking and less arm pump, and the dimpled lever blade was shaped with Aaron Gwin. It has an indexed reach adjuster, MMX/TRP shifter/I-Spec EV compatibility, a high-flow caliper with lightweight hybrid pistons, resin pads, 5 mm hose with banjo and EZ-Plug. TRP quotes 310 g for a front lever and caliper.

  • 9 mm lever piston for more usable power
  • Aaron Gwin-designed dimpled lever blade
