Overview
Magura's e-MTB and gravity brake with 12/19 mm pistons, 2.5 mm rotor compatibility, Bosch ABS readiness and EASY LINK; 348 g, RRP 304.90 EUR per brake.
The GUSTAV PRO is Magura's heavy-duty 4-piston brake developed for powerful e-bikes and gravity bikes. Compared with the MT7 (10 mm master / 17 mm caliper pistons) it uses 12 mm master and 19 mm caliper pistons, lowering system pressure for a defined pressure point and good modulation, and it was the first MTB disc brake designed around 2.5 mm thick MDR-S rotors (2.1 mm wear limit); 2.0 mm rotors also fit without refilling.
The Carbotecture master holds 7 ml of oil, almost twice the MT7, and is optimised for the Bosch eBike ABS. EASY LINK lets the hose be connected and disconnected tool-free, caliper and master come pre-filled, and the 13.S pad offers 76% more pad volume than the MT7. The PRO lever is derived from the HC-W lever developed with Loic Bruni.
