Overview
The Trek Rail+ 8 Gen 5 (£4,500) is a mid-range build of the Rail+: alloy frame, Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 800 Wh, RockShox ZEB Select fork, RockShox Super Deluxe Select RT shock, Shimano XT M8100 and SRAM DB 8 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes.
The Rail+ is Trek's full-power enduro e-MTB: 160 mm of travel front and rear, mixed wheels (27.5-inch on size S) and the Bosch Performance Line CX motor with a removable 800 Wh battery (RIB 2.0). The Rail+ 5 and 8 use an Alpha Platinum aluminium frame; the 9.7 and 9.8 have an OCLV Mountain Carbon main frame. Mino Link and an angle-adjust headset let you tune the geometry.
