Overview

Hope Tech 4 V4: four-piston gravity and e-bike brake with tool-free adjustable Tech 4 lever and one-piece V4 caliper, from £240 UK RRP per end.

The Tech 4 V4 builds on Hope's 25+ years of designing and manufacturing hydraulic brakes. The Tech 4 lever uses new internal sealing for reduced friction and a pivot on roller bearings, allowing a lower spring rate for a lighter lever action that reduces rider fatigue, with tool-free reach and bite point adjustment.

The one-piece CNC-machined V4 caliper uses hybrid stainless-steel pistons with a phenolic insert for smooth movement, low maintenance and resistance to heat transfer. Hope lists it in its e-bike brake range, and it is the only Hope caliper to accept the 3.3 mm Vented rotor.
