Overview
Maxxis Dissector (2025): Troy Brosnan's fast-rolling trail and enduro tread in 27.5", 29" and 32" × 2.40", with EXO to Downhill casings.
Troy Brosnan's signature Dissector came back in 2025 with major upgrades. Redesigned side knobs give a larger footprint for grip and stability on hard terrain, and the fast-rolling 2-3-2 centre layout now has split knobs for better braking. The transition knobs have been pushed outward for smoother cornering.
Maxxis recommends it as a front tyre on 130–140 mm trail bikes or a fast rear on 150 mm+ bikes in dry conditions. It comes in 27.5", 29" and 32" × 2.40", in Dual, MaxxTerra or 3C MaxxGrip, with EXO, EXO+, DoubleDown or Downhill casing.
- 2025 redesign with larger side knobs and split centre knobs
- Front tyre for trail bikes or fast rear tyre for long-travel bikes
- 27.5", 29" and 32" × 2.40"
- EXO to Downhill casings, including DoubleDown for e-bike use
- Recommended for 30–35 mm internal rim width
