Overview

DB6 pairs DB8's Heavy Duty caliper with left/right-specific stealth levers made to match mechanical Eagle Transmission shifters – 364 g claimed (rear, with clamp).

The DB family is SRAM's simple, robust and powerful Heavy Duty brake line for riders who prefer to set and forget, using a low-maintenance mineral oil system and Code-like power from a caliper architecture shared with Code (uses existing Code/SRAM Large pads).

SRAM groups its mountain brakes into Heavy Duty (four-piston brakes with set-it-and-forget-it simplicity: Motive and DB) and Extreme Duty (Maven, the most progressive power for gravity and heavy braking). All use SRAM's proprietary seals with mineral oil co-developed with Maxima, and work with 160, 180, 200 and 220 mm rotors in 6-bolt and Centerlock.

  • Code-like heavy-duty power, caliper shared with DB8
  • Left/right-specific stealth levers for mechanical Eagle Transmission
  • Split ring clamp for MMX shifters and dropper lever
  • Tooled reach adjust
  • Uses SRAM Large brake pads
