Overview
The Focus JAM 8 (€5,399) is a mid-range build of the JAM: Bosch Performance Line CX (85 Nm) with 600 Wh, RockShox Lyrik Select fork, RockShox Super Deluxe Base shock, SRAM Eagle 70 and SRAM DB8 stealth brakes. Claimed weight is 25.1 kg.
The JAM is Focus's aluminium all-mountain e-MTB, launched as part of the MY27 line-up together with the new SAM and THRON. A 7005 hydroformed aluminium frame with polished welds, a semi-integrated shock and C.I.S. 2.0 integrated cable routing gives 150 mm of F.O.L.D. rear travel, paired with a 160 mm fork, 29-inch wheels and 2.5–2.6-inch tyres.
All four builds use the 5th-generation Bosch Performance Line CX (85 Nm, 120 Nm via eBike Flow app update) with a choice of a 600 Wh or 800 Wh PowerTube battery; a 250 Wh range extender fits all sizes, for up to 1,050 Wh. Claimed weights (size M, 600 Wh) run from 24.4 kg for the JAM LTD to 25.4 kg for the JAM 7.
