Overview
BikeYoke's Barmate Carbon is a compliance-tuned 800 mm, 35 mm-clamp carbon bar in 50/65 mm stack, EFBE-rated for enduro/DH and about 260 g. RRP is €270.
The Barmate Carbon is BikeYoke's first carbon handlebar, the result of more than four years of development. It sets out to fix the harshness of many 35 mm carbon bars by combining toughness with deliberate vertical flex to absorb vibration and big hits, reducing arm pump and fatigue.
The bar is made from UD carbon with titanium-mesh reinforced clamping areas and is rated for extreme enduro and DH use under the EFBE TRI-TEST MTB-Gravity. Instead of rise, BikeYoke specifies 50 or 65 mm stack and -35 mm reach. It is 800 mm wide with 9° backsweep and 6° upsweep, weighs about 260–265 g and works with the Barkeeper stem.
