Overview
The NICOLAI S16 MGU (€11,399) is the only build of the S16 MGU: Pinion E1.12 Motor.Gearbox.Unit with 800 Wh, Fox 38 Factory 160 mm fork, Fox DHX Factory coil shock, a Pinion 12-speed gearbox with Gates belt drive and Magura MT7 Pro HC brakes.
The S16 MGU is NICOLAI's 29er e-enduro built around the Pinion E1.12 Motor.Gearbox.Unit: a brushless motor (600 W, up to 400 % assist, 160 Nm at the rear wheel in gears 1–4) combined with an electronically shifted 12-speed gearbox (600 % range) and a Gates CDX belt drive, so there is no derailleur or cassette. Batteries are FIT Tubepacks of 800 Wh or 1060 Wh (+€200), with a FIT Master Node display in the top tube and a FIT Remote Pure.
The 7020-T6 aluminium Horst-link frame gives 160 mm of travel front and rear, with 29" wheels or an MX (29/27.5) setup. Size M has 490–495 mm reach, a 64.5° head angle and a 77.4–77.5° seat angle; sizes run XS–XXL. Each bike is built to order (approx. 8 weeks), and an Explorer Kit with fenders, rack and lights is optional.
