Overview
The Intend Samurai SuperTR is a 1710 g upside-down 29" trail/light-enduro fork with 140–170 mm travel and Travel Ranger air spring; €1,799 incl. VAT.
The Samurai SuperTR is Intend's lightweight upside-down trail / light-enduro fork and the successor to the 130 mm Samurai TR. With 140–170 mm of travel it moves from downcountry into real trail territory, using a new, burlier and stiffer crown and a longer internal bushing overlap to cope with the extra length.
Every Intend fork is designed, engineered and tested in Freiburg, Germany, and assembled by hand in-house one at a time; Intend says bushings are calibrated to each tube, crowns are bonded to prevent creaking and each fork is aligned individually. It runs the updated Travel Ranger air spring and a closed, self-bleeding cartridge, and Intend pitches it at lighter riders who want enduro travel without a 2+ kg fork.
