Overview
The Simplon Rift :e Core+ (€6,779) is a mid-range build of the Rift :e: Bosch Performance Line CX Gen5 (85 Nm) with 800 Wh, RockShox Psylo Gold RC fork, RockShox Deluxe Select shock, SRAM Eagle 70 transmission and Magura Louise Elite brakes. Claimed weight is 23.5 kg.
The Rift :e is Simplon's carbon trail e-MTB for long trail and touring days: 140 mm of travel front and rear, 29-inch wheels, a 65° head angle and a 150 kg system weight rating. Mounts for a kickstand, mudguards and a rack are built in.
All builds use the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen5 (85 Nm, up to 120 Nm via app) with a 600 or 800 Wh battery removable through a hatch; a 250 Wh range extender or a DualBattery setup takes capacity up to 1,345 Wh. The Ultimate+ build comes with Shimano XT Di2.
