Overview

The Marin Alpine Trail E XR ($9,299) is the top build of the Alpine Trail E: Bosch Performance Line CX (Gen 5) with 800 Wh, RockShox Zeb Ultimate fork, RockShox Vivid Air Ultimate shock, SRAM GX AXS T-Type and SRAM Maven Silver brakes. Marin does not publish a claimed weight.

The Alpine Trail E is Marin's enduro e-MTB, built on a Series 4 aluminium frame with 160 mm of MultiTrac 2 LT rear travel, a 170 mm fork and mixed wheels (29-inch front, 27.5-inch rear). Marin says the redesigned frame is 1,345 g lighter than before and has 37 mm more ground clearance, with UDH, Boost spacing and internal routing.

Every build uses Bosch's Gen 5 Performance Line CX motor (Marin quotes 120 Nm and 750 W) with a removable 800 Wh battery and a Kiox 400C top-tube display. Geometry is adjustable via a swappable upper headset cup (±0.75°) and chainstay flip chips that change bottom bracket height and chainstay length.

  • Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5, 800 Wh removable battery
  • 160 mm rear / 170 mm fork, mixed wheels
  • Adjustable head angle (±0.75°) and chainstay flip chips
  • Series 4 aluminium frame, UDH, Kiox 400C top-tube display
