US hub maker Project321 has launched the G3Ti, a version of its G3 rear hub designed for the higher drivetrain loads of eMTBs.

What's new

The aluminium freehub body of the standard G3/RG3 is replaced with a titanium driver, which Project321 says it has tested to peak torque loads above 1,100 Nm. The single-row 6802 bearing gives way to a double-row 3802 bearing. Inside, a 72-tooth steel drive ring works with pawls phased in two groups, giving 144 points of engagement — one every 2.5°. The hub also uses Project321's magnetic M-Pulse pawl system and a rubber seal with an aluminium dust shield.

Compatibility and price

The G3Ti is offered with 6-bolt or Center Lock rotor mounts and SRAM XD, Shimano HG or Microspline drivers. Price is $650 (CAD 905) versus $600 for the aluminium-driver hub. Pre-orders are open, with shipping from mid-October 2026.

Torque from modern motors such as the 150 Nm DJI Avinox puts more stress on freehubs than ever. Browse other eMTB wheels in our wheels catalog.
