Overview
The Intend Hover Monocoque is a hand-built, custom-tuned air shock with 55/65/75 mm strokes, Trunnion or Metric mounting and 3-mode lever; from €1,099 incl. VAT.
The Hover Monocoque is Intend's air rear shock, now with a one-piece monocoque body with a German-made low-friction polymer-oxide coating, an Autoflate dimple for a self-balancing negative chamber, and high- and low-speed damping. Intend says it addressed every one of 12 failure modes seen in six years of Hover production, and claims performance on par with coil shocks.
Each shock is assembled by hand in Freiburg with a custom shim-stack tune for rider weight, frame and riding style, and ships with a high-pressure shock pump. The IBS mount converts between Trunnion and Metric, and all strokes can be reduced in 2.5 mm steps.
