Overview
Intend Trinity TR is a lightweight four-piston trail brake (82 g caliper, 197 g per end) with magnetic pistons; €950 per set incl. VAT (shop).
Trinity TR is the lighter trail/enduro version of Intend's Trinity brake, aiming for the weight of competitive two-piston brakes without giving up braking power. It keeps four 17 mm stainless-steel pistons and Avid Code style pads, but the caliper is closed on top, has no pad bolt or retaining spring, and holds the pads with magnetic piston inserts, for an 82 g caliper.
Intend notes the lower caliper mass means less heat capacity than the EN/DH Trinity, so it suits lighter enduro riders and trail use rather than heavy riders with unlimited downhill ambitions.
- Four 17 mm stainless pistons, magnetic pad retention
- 82 g caliper, 197 g per brake
- Gentle modulation, radial lever
- Mineral oil, Avid Code style pads
- CNC 7075 aluminium
