Overview
The Santa Cruz Vala AL Deore 6200 (£4,899) is the only build of the Vala AL: Bosch Performance Line CX with 600 Wh, RockShox Psylo Gold RC fork, RockShox Deluxe Select shock, Shimano Deore M6200 and Shimano Deore MT6220 brakes. Claimed weight is 23.8 kg.
The Vala AL is the aluminium version of the Vala: the same four-bar layout with 150 mm of rear travel, a 160 mm fork and mixed wheels (29-inch front, 27.5-inch rear), but without the flip chip and in sizes S to XL only.
It uses the Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU38) motor and a 600 Wh PowerTube battery. The UK build, Vala AL Deore 6200, combines a Shimano Deore drivetrain and brakes with RockShox suspension; Santa Cruz quotes 23.8 kg.
